Wooden boats drawn up on the shore at Riung under an orange dusk sky

Two days

A boat day and a village morning. It works, just.

Two days at Riung is enough to see the marine park properly and get a feel for the town — with nothing left over.

In short

Two days means one full day on the water and a second split between a slow village morning and moving on — enough for the park, with no margin for weather.

  • Day 1: arrive, arrange the boat for tomorrow.
  • Day 2: the full boat day, out at 08.00.
  • Day 3 morning: the village, then go.

The boat day

Out at 08.00, three to five stops, back by 16.00. This is the whole reason you came.

The risk

One bad morning costs you the trip

There is exactly one boat day in this plan. If the sea is up, there is no second attempt.

A third night costs Rp 150,000–375,000 and removes that risk entirely. It is the best-value decision in the whole itinerary.
