Liveaboard

Sleeping aboard is how you reach what a day boat cannot.

Cabins, routes and real costs for combining Riung with the Komodo leg on one vessel.

In short

Riung has no resident liveaboard fleet — vessels reaching it are chartered from Labuan Bajo, which is why the Komodo leg and a Riung liveaboard are effectively the same booking.

  • No local liveaboard fleet at Riung itself.
  • Vessels come from Labuan Bajo, 340 km west.
  • Priced per boat per night, not per seat.

Aboard

What the nights buy you

The case for a liveaboard is range and time on the water, not the cabin.

Range

Sites a day boat cannot reach and return from, particularly at the far end of Komodo.

First light and last light on the water, which is when these islands are worth photographing.

Cabins

Vary enormously between vessels. Check air conditioning, en-suite and how many share a deck.

Booking

This one is not arranged at the pier

Day boats are a waterfront conversation. A liveaboard is a chartered vessel with a crew and a schedule, and it is booked ahead through an operator.

The reservations desk at Komodo Luxury handles this leg. We do not run boats.
